LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

Elders

Our elders:

  • Shepherd God’s flock (1 Pet 5:2).

  • By teaching God’s Word (1 Tim 3:2).

  • By defending against ungodly teaching and practices (Acts 20:28-29).

  • And by expressing in tangible ways God’s love for his people (James 5:14).

  • In sum, they lead, feed, protect, and care.

Deacons

Our deacons:

  • Spot and meet tangible needs.

  • In order to promote the unity of God’s church.

  • And to support the ministry of those who are preaching/teaching God’s Word (Acts 6:1-6).

  • How do deacons relate to elders? They assist the elders with the work of pastoral care.

Staff

Our staff members:

  • Based on calling, gifting, education, and experience, they are entrusted with the day-to-day operation of certain ministries.

  • How do staff members relate to elders? Elders function as the bridge of the ship, discerning overall direction. Staff members function as the engine room, moving Faith Church forward on a daily basis.
